CLINTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – An arrest has been made in the shooting of a 3-year old boy a Clinton Township park.
Christian Howard, the boyfriend of a mother whose son was shot in the head, faces child abuse and weapons charges.
According to Clinton Township police, Howard and 3-year old Je’meer Griffin were at Normandy Park — off Little Mack near 15 Mile Road — when the shooting occurred at around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
The boy’s mother told police she dropped the pair off so the toddler could play on the swings. But, after a report of shots fired, police found the man and boy in a wooded area.

Je’meer was rushed to a local hospital. He was reported to be in stable condition on Wednesday.
