Buetzow, near Rostock is reportedly badly damaged as cars were hurled 230ft off and roof tiles were blown off buildings, including the local hospital.
High winds, heavy rain and lightning have caused chaos across the region, as streets in the town centre were reportedly completely covered by red tiles blown from roofs and a hospital had to be partially evacuated when its roof was damaged in the storm.
