With Draft Complete, Redskins Will Now Evaluate Scouting Staff


Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan is done with the NFL draft. Now he moves on to another phase of evaluation: The scouting staff he inherited.

The day after the draft is a difficult one for scouts around the league. With the year-long draft process over, front offices face inevitable turnover. McCloughan wouldn’t address specifics about his executives and scouts. Their future, for now, remains in question as it would with any new general manager.

McCloughan said he will meet with team president Bruce Allen this week to discuss that topic, among others. Owner Dan Snyder will meet with McCloughan, too, who did praise the job his staff did under difficult circumstances with a new general manager.
